Annual Theater Season: Through the production of six challenging plays per year for the general public, CA trains hundreds of non-professional and professional actors in how to address the personal, political, and emotional impact of playwright’s work. Actors develop strong speaking and negotiation skills, learn to thrive in group work environments, and gain confidence in their abilities to analyze complex problems, which all aid in life skills. The general public experiences well-produced productions featuring black themes and issues that reflect their often-overlooked history and contemporary lives.
